Description
Criminal Hunting Club
“There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter.”
Ernest Hemingway.
A challenge coin designed for those who have taken it upon themselves to hunt the worst of criminality for the betterment of the nation and the protection of others.
This challenge coin is not like any we have made previously; it signifies your membership into a very small club in society.
Designed in a collaborative partnership between Tacti-Fresh & CUSTOM CALIBERS.
The design draws influence from armed policing & law enforcement.
The skull featuring the Armed Policing designator and mounted on a spike is a reminder of the inherent dangers of the job, that we are not invincible, and that, as the saying goes, “Memento Mori” – An ancient philosophical and artistic concept designed to reflect on human mortality. Rather than a morbid obsession with death, it serves as a tool to appreciate life, eliminate trivial anxieties, and focus on the present.
Behind this is a variation of crossed swords, depicting some of the tools of armed policing. A crossed H&K 416 partnered with a Halligan (Hooligan) Bar.
The carbine and Halligan bar are two of the most used tools in armed policing. This depiction is a reminder of the inherent responsibility in armed policing, along with the weight of those decisions we make in the pursuit of the most dangerous criminals officers face.
The text in keeping with the design, is a gothic font.
The reverse depicts the CUSTOM CALIBERS logo with CHC in gothic font, denoting the Criminal Hunting Club idea. Below this is an individual serialised number plaque.
The rear design is surrounded by laurels – A laurel wreath is a symbol of triumph. This design element is to remind you of the triumphs you have made: each capture of a dangerous criminal, each successful armed operation, each time you step into the breach and come back, a testament to those triumphs.
